GRTD Data keeps hanging

Hi All,

In our call center we use GRTD's for viewing live stats on Plasma Screens. We are having an onging problem with the GRTD's, the Data does not refresh, it keeps hanging? When we look at the stats in Symposium, Symposium is up to date? We are on Symposium 4.2, the PC's that are running the GRTD's are on NT4. Is this a know issue or are there any patches, information, etc.

We had similar problem and sometimes get "phantom" calls. These would show as a call queuing, the clock running but no call call would come through.
We belive it may be a network error happening at a crtical point (?) and it not refreshing, the same happens if a sever reboot takes place. If the session is not reloaded, then nothing seems to happen (i.e. freezes). I pay also to check that any A/V software is not interfering. We useSophos, which seems ok with Symposium, but can kill other Nortel Apps (device manager take up to 100x longer to load when it's running). May be worth looking.

From your description above, I feel that it's purely GRTD problem (When GRTD freezed, the Symposium RTD is still active). Also, as far as I know, there is no patch for GRTD.

A Couple of Questions:
1. What's the GRTD Version? Is it Ver 3.05.05 Rev B?
2. Did you install both SCCS Client and GRTD on the same PC?

My suggestion, try to install GRTD on a Win2k machine and see whether the same problem happens.

 
Ans to Q1: It is Ver 3.05.05, there is no Rev
Ans to Q2: Yes, SCCS Client and GRTD are on the same PC

Does this make any difference?

Thanks, i will also try to install the GRTD on the W2K OS.

 
as per nortel's advise you can install the sccs client and grtd on the same pc, as long as you do not run them at the same time.
