Our company is using Internet Explorer and Groupwise 5.5 to access our internal email system from the internet. Our problem is that when we try to access our calender or address book, it takes FOREVER! Netscape works fine. Please don't suggest that we just use Netscape, because my supervisor has already informed everyone that I.E. is the standard and we can't change at this time. Any useful ideas? Thanks.

I would take a look at your JAVA settings, and what version of the MS Virtual Machine you are currently running. What version of IE are you running? I would make sure that you are at IE 5.5 with all security patches running, and the latest Virtual Machine. (for VM info check
Hope this helps.

Cheers,

What version of Iexplorer.
Symptom: WebAccess pages take approximately 30 seconds to load

Cause: This is caused by an incompatibility between the NetWare Enterprise Web Server and HTTP 1.1. Some browsers, such as IE5, have HTTP 1.1 enabled by default.

Fix: There are two possible solutions for this problem:
1. In IE5 go to Tools | Internet Options click on the Advanced tab and then scroll down to the check box for HTTP 1.1 and uncheck. Click on okay, exit the browser and restart it.

2. Novell Technical Support is testing a file to fix this issue. Customers will have to open a technical support incident if they wish to test this file before it is made available publically This fix should be included with Support Pack 2 for NetWare 5.1.
NESN51B.EXE (available from support.novell.com) is a patch for the Webserver, which addresses this problem.

Maybe of use if you use IE5, otherwise, sorry for the waste of time.
