I have an off-site Web Access user who is having difficulty sending messages to "certain"users at our corporate office. When they type in the name (we use first and last name in addressing)and try to send, GroupWise gives an error message that the address is not found. However, after going to search for the address and finding it, the message goes. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem.

Thanks much

I'd check the "Frequent Contacts" tab in the address book, and delete the offending address from there. It will re-add later, it may have gotten messed up the first time.

Can you simulate the problem at your desktop? If you can then I believe the problem is with the account. If you can't simulate the issue I would take a look at the user. If they names are out of the ordinary it just may be a typo at their end.

there are just some end-users that need reBOOTing!!!!!

Sobak,

I can simulate this. While working at home, I experienced the same problem. Some messages go fine with first and last name addressing, others don't and I get a mesage they are not found. The solution with those is sending using their full email address. Very frustrating.

Okay go into the NWADMIN program and open up the accounts in question. Make sure there is NO spaces after the first and last name of the person, then for kicks you might want to push out a synchronization just to make sure. I ran into this problem once before and I believe that was the fix for it, it's been so long that I don't really remember. Try that and let me know.

Have you go your issue resolved yet?

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*

No, we haven't tried this yet...too many other irons in the fire currently. But I do appreciate the time you took to answer my question.
