Hello,

Has anyone got any ideas to help me with this problem. I'm trying to
move a user from one secondary PO to another. (two NDS trees) But its
not working, I've rebuilt both domains and PO's..

When I start the move I get the following error in the target PO:-

unable to merge settings no user id specified
** Then the user move just gets no fulther **

1) The primary still thinks the user is in the source
2) The Source domain still has the user, and all the email looks to be in
the source.
3) The Target also thinks the user is now in that domain.

Before I started the move I changed the users phone number to check admin
messages and the number was updated in all domains...

Now I'm stuck - can you help please.

are you connected to the primary domain when you execute the move?

this should work no probs

i aaume it's one groupwise system that spans to trees

Well I was connected to the secondary - that's the way I've always done user moves. I dont have access to the Primary.

The Primary still thinks the user is in the Source domain. So the users email is all still in the Source..
However the Target also thinks that user is in its domain.

When a user move starts I should see the message:-
Successful merge of settings for Username
in the Target POA

However what I get is
17:18:27 3B2 Unable to merge settings, no user ID specified

Then after that the user move STOPS :-(

I've still got a pending operation - pressing retry does nothing for me..

Any ideas I've looked around and can't find any reference to "Unable to merge settings"

** Both systems are GroupWise 6.5 **

Hope you can help,
Jon

on the domain that it's going to - does the db get created - and do you see it in the move status on the receiving postie

i personally always prefer to be connected to the primary with moves - although to be truthful shouldnt make a difference

if you make up a new bcrosby user or something can you move him
if it's only one user - you may be quick cdude ice the user and the fid the archive
