Is there a magical formula for determing the right size GroupWise server for a 100 person organization? I am possible looking to standardize on the Compaq ML370 for my file and print services. Would another one of these (avg config, 512MB, 36GB+/- RAID 5)suffice for email traffic of 100 users (who regularly send large attachments)?

Thanks

Tom

Yes it should it even sounds like over kill for an email server. Your volume size will vary depending upon how your users use any email system. Will they archive old email? will they delete email? I have seen users who have been notorious about keeping every message (it was easier to find a message than lookup a phone number).

You should monitor disk space usage carefully (weekly/monthly) for at least a year.

I also found a Novell TID 10016883 that covers this subject. Joshua Rothschild
