Groupwise Password Problem

I am having an issue with changing Groupwise account passwords. When I change the password, it can take up to 2 hours to take effect. If I have a user change their password within the Groupwise client, it takes effect immediately. Any ideas on what causes this problem?? We are running in a GW 6 environment. Thanks in advance.

So when users change their password with in the GroupWise client, it will take affect right away, but when you change it it takes two hours to sync?

Where are you going to change the users password?

Thanks for your response. It turns out that a third party app (GWAVA) was not allowing the passwords to be changed in a timely manner. This issue has been resolved with the vendor.
