Groupwise not synchronising to NDS

Can anybody help with this?
We've gone through the NDS User Synchronisation stage in NWAdmin and restarted the MTA as it instructs, but it still does not sync.
The only help we can find on the Novell site is to add the /dn switch to the MTA startup file which apparently we don't need to do because it all runs on the same server.
We are running GW 5.5 Sp5 on a NW5 server.
Help grately appreciated.

I'm not real clear on the exact problem. Let me take a stab at it...

When you make changes to Users and/or add and delete Users, the updates are not getting propagated? Is this correct?

Please advise.

Basically yes.
All changes to our post office via NWAdmin are not being propagated.
For example, creating a new mailbox for a user. Although you can see the user in NWAdmin in the Groupwise view and check out his mailbox, Groupwise itself does not recognise it. Likewise you can add a user in NWAdmin into a group for the Novell Address Book but the user doesn't actually turn up in the address book.
