Hey guys, quick question. I'm setting up a Novell 6.0/Groupwise 5.5 test environment and have a simple question. I know virtually nothing about Novell and Groupwise, we just need the environment to test our software. I pretty much am flying this by the seat of my pants.

I have everything setup okay and I can send mail between mailboxes thru Groupwise, works good. I can't however send mail to a groupwise mailbox from the internet. Should this work:

Userid.postoffice.domain@<ip address of novell box>

It doesn't. I don't want to setup any dns for this, which is why I am using the ip. I just want this quick and dirty.

Don't think you can send mail to an IP, but you can use Telnet to open a session on port 25 of the GWIA. Just use the standard commands. Here is a TID that will help you with the commands.
