I am running groupwise 5.2.6. When I get the Novell login screen if I cancel it and go to my desktop with no network connection, i seem to be able to access the groupwise mailbox of the previous user who had logged in with a proper network connection. Is there a setting that would eliminate this?

We had this problem.

My work around was to assign everyone a Groupwise password and check off that users had to login to DNS or the post office. I did the latter from the Groupwise System settings.

Maybe it will be a solution for you.

In the GroupWise View right-click a post office and choose "Details". In the Information tab, there is an item "Default Security Level". Click the drop-down box and choose "High" or "NDS Authentication" (the default is Low). With either of these, users must be logged into a network (or NDS) to access their mailbox. They cannot access other users' mailboxes. Click OK and you are all set.

Good luck,

Mark ;-)
