Hi there

I have a machine @ work that no matter what i do it will not connect groupwise login screen it says it is unable to find tcp/ip. I have run winipcfg release and renew that works fine i have pinged the server no problem i have pinged the outside world. But it will not let me go on the internet either. I can connect to demon by dial up but it will not let me download or send emails. I contacted their help desk but to no avail. Has anyone else any ideas?

Thanks

Check for a personal firewall protection loaded on your system. Also make sure you're connecting to the GroupWise system over port 1677. Also check DNS, you mentioned you couldn't connect to the internet, DNS could be the problem here. Make sure you show all and that you have a valid DNS server configured.

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*

Do you use a network card to connect to teh GW server?
If not using one disable it.
Uninstall and Reinstall TCP and the adapters.
