Hi,

I am having an urgent issue with my GroupWise 6 server. Yesterday we had 2.3gb of free space left on the server and at 10am this morning we ran out of space.

I am trying to investigate why it ran out of space so quickly. I have been looking at the file queues on the POA and these are in the thousands (23000 plus) this ties up with the amount of files in the <post office>\WPCSOUT\OFS\4 directory, I noticed that these files increase all the time but do not go anywhere.

I have tried re-creating the directory structure but the same thing happens.

Any ideas?

Simon.

Do you have GroupWise running on the server again? If so, here's my suggestion:
[ol][li]Start ConsoleOne.[/li]
[li]Right-click the post office and choose "GroupWise Utilities > Mailbox/Library Maintenance".[/li]
[li]Under "Analyze/Fix Databases" select all 6 checkboxes (Structure, Index Check...)[/li]
[li]On the "Results" tab make sure there is a checkmark in "Administrator" (if you are the admin). If you are not the admin, then add your email address to the textbox on this tab.[/li]
[li]Click "Run".[/li][/ol]
This may take a while to run. When it finishes, you'll get an email with the results attached (gwcheck.log). Save the log file to your computer and parse it with gwmbsize. This will tell you which mailboxes are using the most space. You can then contact those users and ask them to reduce the size of their mailboxes.

I'm sure others might have different suggestions.

Good luck,
Ron
