Does the GroupWise notification feature allow a GroupWise user to see if anyone has opened a message externally? For example, if I was to send a message to someone with a Yahoo or AOL account, can I set up notification such that I would get a message when the recipient received his/her mail?

I know under GroupWise 4.x and 5.x the answer to this is "NO" I don't know if GroupWise 6 uses some of the advanced features that Outlook uses (e-mails back to sender if an e-mail was opened) but I am sure these features are not available for sites like AOL or Yahoo. I beleive it only works between like systems. Outlook <--> Outlook or GroupWise <--> GroupWise (if available under GroupWise 6) GroupWise 4.x and 5.x didn't have these features for external e-mails...

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*

GW6 has DSN...Delivery Service Notification. It is turned on - on the domain level and then the client level. You only receive DSN from domains that have esmtp turned on. The information that comes back only tells you that the email has been received by the domain and forwarded to the addressee.
