Groupwise email

How can i change user id and groupwise email last name? If I do create a new one , how do I moved the email from prev user id to new user id? currently I am using groupwise 5.5 w/ netware 5.1

The User ID can be changed in NWADMIN32...

Highlight the User object and select OBJECT/RENAME, and rename the User object to whatever you want it to be.

Once that is completed, go into the User Object Details, select the GROUPWISE ACCOUNT tab and modify the name of the GroupWise Account.

Also, make sure you rename the Users Home Directory. Once you have done that, go back into the User Object Details, select the ENVIRONMENT tab and update the User Home Directory info.

or what we did was create a entirely new NDS/groupwise account...we archived the users old email and then used the FID editor to edit the FID on the archive then poped the email back into the live groupwise account

You can change the user ID and the Groupwise ID in NWADMN32. You might want to create a nickname with the old GW ID so they will continue to receive mail sent to the old address. Changing the home directory is optional, but convenient for them if the access the directory by name instead of having a drive letter mapped to it.
