GroupWise crashes frequently for one of our users

Hi all,

One of our users is having frequent trouble with GroupWise crashing. She's tried various computers and it still happens, so I'm thinking it must be her account. Everyone else has no problems with GroupWise.

Her GroupWise crashes while sending email, modifying rules and filters, etc. and it is quite random.

As of last night, I have done the following with her account, but to no avail:

1) Synchronize with NDS
2) Reset user options
3) Analyze/Fix with content

I'd try a few other things, but don't want to cause her any data loss...especially with some of the important emails she has on file.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do this; archive everything in her mail box, then delete her mail box. Create a new mailbox for her and check what the FID is.download the FID editor from Novell and change the FID [sup](search forum on usage)[/sup]. Besure to test your ability to change the FID before you go forward (I have not tested in v6 & 6.5, but it does work fine in 5.x)

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep that as an option because we may have found the problem already.

Two users have now been having this problem and they both use McAfee anti-virus software (the online membership version). I've uninstalled this on both users' computers and their GroupWise has been working flawlessly ever since!
