I have a user whose account I moved from one server to another server at another office location. Everything is fine until I access his Groupwise account. When I click the shortcut I get the post office box with a message saying: having unexpected problems accessing mailbox, error code c67 (or something like that). I have no idea what this means except that something may not have crossed over in the move. Can someone help me?

I have done what Novell perscribes but I was still unable to access the groupwise account. My next move was to move the account back to the server I moved it from. I was able to access the mailbox but everything addressed to this person is coming up undeliverable. Is there something I am missing?

Does the user appear on the proper PO when you look in the Novell Address Book? If he does the I wouldn't attempt to move him back, you may be causing yourself more problems doing that...

When you go into NWADMIN is the users NDS Account associated with the proper GroupWise account? Check these items out and let me know....

The user is in the proper PO when I look in the Novell Address book. Everything in NWAdmin checks out fine. I can access his email, but can't send him anything. The only thing recievable seems to be outside email and group emails. When I move him to the server in the other office, I can't even get into his account or send him anything.

From one of your previous posts, I suspect your already tried everything on the Novell's Web site under the C067 Error? I'm I correct on this before I start looking for more options?

Have you done an analyze/fix or ran GWCHECK on the user database? Just a quick thought....

I have tried just about everything on the Novell site. I have also ran an analyze/fix through Console One. Still I have the same problem, the user is unable to recieve certain emails. The only thing I can think of is deleting the account and recreating it.

Can the user get into his mail account ?

Yes, the user can get in, read and send e-mails.

Okay do this.....

Go to a system that you know for a fact can't send to the user. Open the address book and go to "Frequent Contacts" Delete any address or entry associated with the individual. Then resend the a message to them and see if it gets bounced back. I constantly have issues with this, I have three offices in one city and I have people constantly moving from one office to the other. When I move their account sometimes I end up with this problem other times I don't. Do this and see how it affects sending to this user....

Before doing what you recommended in your last post, I sent a test message to this user and it was recieved okay. I have no idea what the deal is, but if it works, I'm not going to complain. Do you know what the direct cause of this sort of problem is?

I believe it was exactly the issue that I told you to do above. What had happened was you moved the user to the new Post-office but the Frequent Contacts address book still had the user listed on the old Post-office. When you send an e-mail from GroupWise it will pull from the Frequent Contacts address book first (if open) before the Novell Address book. During the nightly maintenance the system goes out and updates (syncs) all the address books to the Novell Address book. Okay, in theory this is suppose to work, even Novell has admitted that it works only part of the time. In this particular instance it worked for you. For me on the other hand I have more problems then successes. Just one of those little problems that keeps us on our toes :) Now you glad I told you to hold off moving the user back onto the original Post-office? I can’t tell you how many times I did that before I found a TID buried on Novell’s site regarding this issue.

Anyway, glad that everything is back to normal. Let us know if you need any further assistance..

Thank you very much for your advice and patience in this little matter of mine. It's very much appreciated.

When people change post offices you will need to synchronize your Frequent Contact Address Book and any address books you have created. Synchronization will make sure that you have the most current address for any employee listed in the Novell Address Book.

To synchronize address book entries:

Right Click the tab of the Frequent Contact Address Book tab or any personal address book tab you need to synchronize.

Click Synchronize/Current Book.
