GroupWise 7 - proxy resource crashes GroupWise

Running GW 7

Interesting situation. Happens about 75% of the time - various users. Various PCs.

Open Calendar (w/Month & Calendar as default view) --> Proxy to a resource --> Click corner Red X to close Calendar --> Crash. Each time it crashes, it references:
Faulting module gwxplt1.dll

At first I thought this was something to do with a particular user/resource, however once I followed the same steps as the user, mine crashes just like hers. Tried from other PCs and got the same results.

Work around: I discovered if the Calendar is minimized --> Right Click --> Close from the tray, closes fine every time. I also found if you proxy in and close w/the red X really quick it will not crash. Only seems to be happening if it's open for a minute or so.

Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas what it could be?

Are you running the original shipping GW7 code? I had miserable experiences with it on the server and a few problems on client sides..

Novell has some FTF's that have resolved all the problems and abends I was dealing with, and they appear to be the recommended answer to any problems. If you still have issues after you apply those, you can always call Novell and report it.

Thanks for the tip Marvin. Yes, I'm pretty sure I'm using the orignal code. I'll take a closer look at those FTFs. I also noticed GW 7 sp1 is coming in the next month or so.
