I am preparing to install Groupwise 7 on a SLES 9 server. I have been reading through the documentation and saw that the Linux Internet Agent requires an LDAP server in order for the Agent to access eDirectory. So the question is, do I have to setup an LDAP server for this? If so, how do I configure the LDAP server as far as databases and users go?

eDirectory has an LDAP service with it that allows you to query eDirectory with any LDAP application. By installing eDir, you should get LDAP too.

You just have to make sure you don't have other LDAP services running that may interfere. This is a problem specifically on the Windows platform, but could also happen on Linux if you have other LDAP services running.
