Groupwise 6 - File Extensions on E-mail Attachments

My company sends .zip data files to one of our customers who uses Groupwise 6 to receive email. The problem is two-fold:

1) The .zip extension is not visible, only the filename, so if the customer saves the attachment without renaming the file with a .zip extension, our program cannot recognize the attachment to automatically unzip the file.

I know it's not a Windows Folder Options problem, because "Unhide file extensions for known file types" is already unchecked. Is there a preference in Groupwise e-mail that will solve the attachment display problem? With earlier versions, Groupwise displayed file extensions.

2) Earlier versions of Groupwise allowed one to drag and drop attachments to a folder (just as can be done in Outlook). This is no longer true in version 6, at least with our customer. Is there a way to allow the attachment drag-and-drop feature in Groupwise so that I can make it easy for our customer?

My first try at asking a question in the forum, so hope I've been clear enough for whoever helps.
