Hi Everyone,
I did an upgrade install of Win2k over a Win95 PC at work, kept all compatable programs, installed Windows Messaging for NT, installed Groupwise, and linked Office 97 documents to Groupwise during the Groupwise install. Ever since I've had nothing but problems with Excel. When I go to close Excel, I can't click on the "X" at the top right hand corner. I can't print multiple copies of an Excel sheet. When I did another install of Groupwise and left Office 97 out, I couldn't save an excel document at all. This happens with any excel document, pre existing or new docs. Is this a result of Groupwise or Win2K? If it is Groupwise related, how can I fix it?

If you enable GW Document Management System, it is normal, that the (application close) X is greyed out. This is working as designed. Check out TID:
Acutally DMS works pretty good.

For the save problem of your MS Office Files, I guess it is a Novell Client Problem. Check for an Update, or a fix for your existing client at support.novell.com.

We have had nothing but problems with GroupWise application integration!

Uninstall the GroupWise Client and Windows Messaging components and re-install everything again... but WITHOUT application integration.

The headaches aren't worth it.

Good Luck.
