We have a spurious user in the address book
I think I know what happened.
A new user was created ******ney but the chaps name was *****ley This was then hand edited in ConsoleOne to make it *****ley as email address.

That didn't work so it was deleted and a new one created correctly as *****ley

Now the only sign of the old *****ney is in the address book.
It's not in NWADMIN or ConsoleOne
The USERID and NetworkID of one is *****ney and the other *****ley.
Can't delete it in the NAB and can't see it anywhere else.
No other problems anywhere there's Rules in action on the other one and that's working Everything is just fine except the 'duplicate' which the CEO keeps clicking on!

Any Ideas anyone??? Anything gratefully received

Try this:
Select the PO object, then Tools --> GroupWise Utilities --> System Maintenance --> Rebuild Indexes For Listing --> Run.
This will rebuild the indexes without the user needing to be out of the system.
If that doesn't work then rebuild the Post Office.

Also worth checking frequent contacts as well....
