Planning a move of our Groupwise 6.5.1 server(Netware 6.5) to a new IP subnet.
Will user NRM to change IP address, certificates, etc. for the Netware 6.5 server.
I am not sure of the correct procedure for changing MTA,POA,GWIA, and WebAccess agent IP addresses. Single domain, PO environment.

Thank you for any assistance!

Hi,

Word of warning that even with NetWare 6.5, changing an IP address can result in non functional PKI and/or Apache services. It has gotten a lot better but it can still be problematic.

On the plus side, there are no issues with changing the IP address for GroupWise components (other than WebAccess...due to the Apache issues).

The only changes you need to make are in the agent properties screens. Note that if your MTA and POA are communicating via TCP/IP, then you will need to rebuild the post office after making the IP address change or the POA will still try contacting the MTA at the old address.
