Groupwise 5.5 to 6.5 upgrade advice

We need to upgrade Groupwise 5.5 to Ver 6.5. It is currently running on a Netware 5.0 server that is also tired and going to be upgraded. (Yeah, I know, Novell no longer supports either of these relics )

Question - - Would it be easier to upgrade the groupwise to ver 6.5 on the old 5.0 server, and then move the whole enchilada to an upgraded Novell Small Business 6.5, or should I upgrade/migrate the entire 5.0 to Netware Small Business Server 6.5 and upgrade the Groupwise later?

I migrated a 5.1 test server to NW SBS 6.5, and was not pleased with the results. Lots of things left behind that I needed.

depends on experience etc i suppose
the groupwise upgrade is simple
i would be inclined to do the netware part first
but i have never worked with SBS

I would do the Netware piece first.. You will have compatibility issues with the webaccess piece if you do it the other way around.

Or do it on the weekend and knock out both pieces at once.
