I have a few MAC users who use GroupWise version 5.5 on a Novell 5.0 network. They have no problem sending e-mails throughout the company but they can't send anything outside, the error is 8029. Now, in order to send outside mail we have to type INTERNET: and then the e-mail address.

It's important to note that we have just upgraded our server from version 4.11 to 5.0 and still have a couple of bugs to work out. We had Appletalk drivers that wouldn't copy over from the 4.11 backup server to the 5.0 main server so we renamed the 4.11 server and added it to the network. I was wondering if this has any relevance (I'm betting it does) and what I could do to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

The client for the Macintosh should be the 5.2x client which doesn't support the Internet Addressing feature of GroupWise 5.5. (I hope that this will be resolved down the road)
You are correct in that you need to enter the gateway name:address.

Appletlk NLM's for NetWare 5.x were offloaded to Prosoft Engineering and are a separate licensed product from Prosoft. Only AppleTalk routing came with NetWare 5, not the AFP/Printing system.
