Groupwise 5.5 crashing

Having problems with at least a half dozen users who are crashing when trying to send an email. We have investigated and at this time unable to determine what can be causing this problem. No error messages appear.

We feel like this may be linked to installed ZENWORKS on the PC's.

ANy suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

No errors on the POA either? That's strange. I would check there.

Can you give more detail? what do you mean by crashing?

Does it hang the PC? What exactly happens?

The following info prints out:
Grpwise.exe has generated erros and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is generated.

Going into WIN2000 event viewer the only errors I see are
Event ID 7023 Source Service Control Manager..... the client service for NetWare service terminated with the following error: The parameter is incorrect.

Also Event id 9001 NWCWorkstation .... the Microsoft Client service for netware could not start becuase it did not bind to any transports.....

I am just repying to your posting because wee are currently expereiencing this problem and ther ecommendation that was given to you has been applied to several employees in our company but it's not resolving the problem. I tested one thing if you combined that patch with reinstallation of GW 5.5 with at least SP2 or above it will resloved the problem.

Hello, we encountered this problem recently and we though this was cause by a messaeg database corruption as what novell have describe - I followed there recommendation but I was not able to fixed the casue but able to fixed the symptoms by resinstalling GW 5.5 EP with SP2 or what ever is your lates SP and the apply the IE 6.0 patch. Try it and let me know.
