Groupwise 5.5 client not receiving POP3 mail

Could anyone shed any light on how to get POP3 mail through the Groupwise 5.5 client? GWIA is setup to allow POP3 mail through, and we sit behind Bordermanager, but all is setup (I believe) to allow it, but on adding a POP3 account into the client front-end, I get the message "Service not available" when I try and receive mails. Anyone have any ideas??
 
Have you managed to fix this yet as I have the same problem!
 
If yopu configure the GWIA for POP£ that allows you to collect your groupwise email via pop3 by pointing your pop3 client to the gwia.

If you want to collect external pop3 mail from a personal account you need the Gw5.5 enhanced client and create an account in account options. You then use send and retrieve to collect the mail. This is presuming your Network Administrator has not blocked pop3 with a firewall etc etc.
