I'm running Groupwise 5.5.4

My address book was fine until - i tried to bring up outlook 2000 just to show someone something. It asked me for the office 2000 cd, i think it does something with the data.msi file form the cd. Since then i go into groupwise address book and there is nothing there, even the system one.

I haven't tried Outlook in a long time, but one of the things we found out the hard way was the incompatibility of Outlook and the GW client on a single PC. Maybe you'll get better advice from others more familiar with current versions, but in my past experience with earlier versions, the answer was completely removing Outlook from the PC and reinstalling the GW client. Probably not the answer you are hoping for.

Hope this helps.

Go into Control Panel/Mail. Check the settings to make certain the GroupWise Services and Addressing are set correctly - adding them if necessary.

Typical fix is as follows:
1) From GroupWise, click on the address book icon
2) From the address book, click on the File menu, then select Services.
3) Click the Show Profiles button.
4) At the bottom of the dialog box it should have an item labeled
"When starting Windows messaging, use this profile"
5) Click the drop down box below that and select "Novell Default Settings"
6) Close out of the profiles, address book and then GroupWise. Also close GroupWise notify if it is loaded.
7) Restart GroupWise.

Thanks RJS that was very helpful.
