Groupwise 5.5.2 Open Relay

I have scoured Novells TIDS and the forums for information on how to stop Open Relay/Spamming on GW5.5.2, but it seems that unless you use a 3rd party product, there is no way of resolving the security hole. Does anyone have any information on how to stop Relaying in GW5.5.2? We've tried all of the suggestions we could find on Novell's site. Please advise.<br>

From Novell (TID#10008701):&nbsp;&nbsp;to turn off GWIA as a relay host, go to the GWIA properties in NWADMIN, select the Access Control tab and then SMTP Relay. In the SMTP Relay dialog choose Prevent message relaying. Restart GWIA. (Choosing Prevent message relaying adds the /norouting switch to the GWIA.CFG file. This file is not meant to be updated manually, use NWADMIN to make changes. For information on matching options in NWADMIN with startup switches seen in the GWIA.CFG file see TID2932504)<br>
