GroupShield 5.0 problem

Hello,

We have GroupShield 5.0 for Exchange 5.5 with scan engine 4.1.60. When we tried to update the virus def 4259 from a network folder yesterday, we got an error message saying that it was unable to stop the avscan engine. So, we decided not to do. Today, when we've found that GroupShield is blocking all of the file extensions .doc, .xls, .zip. We've manually fixed the configurations. This is the second time we have this problem. The last time was about several months ago. Though, it wasn't the same error message but, in general, it happened when we had problems updating the virus def for GroupShield. Thank you very much for your help.

There's a hotfix for GroupShield 5.0 that fixes this problem. Check with your McAfee rep on how to get this.
