Supposedly from what I have read on McAfee's webpage is that this new version of Group Shield is able to resolve the names of the Sender and Recipent. But in our enviorment we don't get to see the Sender and Recipent. Is there something that I am missing to configure or install. I have it set for MAPI scanning, but it still won't resolve the names. Can anyone tell me what I am missing or what I need to do for this option to become available. Thanks

Just to add to the above message. It says on the web page "Real time sender/recipient message information for found viruses in certain configurations " For some reason this just not want to happen for us. What type of configuration do I need to run to have this option. Thanks

Only with Exchange 2000 SP1 will you get the names resolved, Use the RNU with a quarantine database.

I have solved the Resolving Names but so far I have not been able to get to the avapi portion. I have been in contact with the beta team about it and we do have sp4 installed. So I have to wait and see what they say.

Log Files - TMP Files

Can anyone help. Periodically, (every day) we find that our mail server has very large .tmp files stored in c:\winnt
We have accused Groupshield as the dirty culprit. We would like to find out if it is groupshield and if so, why they are so large, and if they need to be, where we can change where they are saved.

Any help would be appreciated, restarting the IS on Exchange every day in the knowledge that one day it won't has given me a rather unsettling nervous twitch.

Thanks
