I have a report that groups sales first by month, then by location. I want another group at the bottom that totals sales by location. I know that this is another simple one, that's why I can's figure it out.

I would suggest creating 'Running Totals for a Group'. This can be found in the online help section of Crystal Reports. Select 'Insert, Field Object, New Running Total Field'.

Field to summarize should be 'sales', evaluating for each record, and reseting on change of group -- give it a try! Hopefully this fits the bill.

I think what you want is to re-summarize the data at the bottom of the report. A cross-tab is the ideal way to do this.

Use your LOCATION as the ROW field in the cross-tab, and the SALES as the SUMMARIZED filed. You won't need a COLUMN field for what you describe.

Place this cross-tab in the report header or report footer. Ken Hamady
