Grouping

I think the answer to this is no but is it possible to group say on account number, but then have the groups appear in order of another field (i.e. oustanding balance)?

If you insert a summary field in the group footer which sums the outstanding balance by account, then you can use the group sort expert to arrange the groups.

From the Report menu:

1. Group Sort Expert
2. Select the Account Number group
3. Sort All
4. Based on the summary field you created.
5. Select the sort order.

thanks Brian, couldnt understand why my group sort expert was greyed out when i had a group in there, it was because there was no sums, just fields
