Hi All

I have 2 groups...Manager and Employeeid. A Manager can have many employeeid. If a Manager
in his group has Employeeid 65 then I dont want this manager to show and this will also stop
his empoyeeid's to appear.

I am using CRXI Rel2.....please can you help as I having a blur at the moment.

Many Thanks

Create a formula like this in the field explorer:

//{@empl65}:
if {table.EmployeeID} = 65 then 1

Then go to report->selection formula->GROUP and enter:

sum({@empl65},{table.manager}) = 0

Note that if you then need to do any calculations across managers, you will need to use running totals, since non-group selected records still contribute to the more usual inserted summaries.

Thanks Ibass for that....it worked a treat.....

but I dont quite understand in english terms what this formual actually does....

Please can you explain....many thanks...your brill....

The first formula checks each record for the presence of employee ID = 65. The group selection formula says: Show me all groups that have no employee ID = 65. If there is a record = 65, then the sum per that group would be greater than 1.
