I have to group a field together. I alread have a group that groups all the field together, but I'm trying to split that up into the two groups that I want. However, I would like to make the first group base on four values of that field and the second group the rest of the values of that field in the database. How do I do that? I thought I can just duplicate that original group by change the selection formula a little bit to reflect the two groups, but Crystal report won't let me do that by inserting another group using that field. You can't change groups by changing the selection formula. These two concepts aren't related:

I would write a formula that says:

If {field} in ['a','b','c','d']
then "Group 1"
else "Group 2"

Keep your original group and add a second group (sub group) using your formula. [sig]
Ken Hamady- href= Reports Training by Ken Hamady
[/sig]
