grouping time into work shifts

hi, my situation is that i have to do a report of a whole bunch of calls logged over the course of a day and need to group them into regular shifts. i'd ideally like the parameter box for these shifts to be entered by the user because shift lengths can change.

Create a paramater for each of Shift1 start time, shift2, etc.

Then a formula to decide if

if Time({table.datetimefield}) >= time(0,0,0) and
Time({table.datetimefield}) <= Time({?shift1}) then
... // 1 else 0 if you want to count
{table.field} else 0 if you want to accumualte a field.
