grouping problem in cross tab reports 1

When I inserted a group field in my cross tab report
the values are coming as cumulative sums, ie the sum
is not initialised after group value changes
it goes on addiing all values
Can someone help me to solve this problem

The first thing I would check is to make sure that your summary field is inserted in the group footer/header as compared to the Report footer/header.
