i have a report that has a crosstab in the report header. It currently contains infomation on when staff members need training. The only change i need to make is to group the results by month. The rows contain the names of staff members and the columns are the skills that require training. Is there a way to group the columns by month?

Depending on your version of Crystal, you might create a joint skills / month column.

Just add {table.trainingdate} as another column--drag it to be your first (topmost) column in the crosstab expert. While it is highlighted, go to group options->select "print on change of month".Then the trainings will be nested within the dates.
