Grouping in Reports

Hi, I'm trying to group a report by year, but it's not a normal year it's a school year, from Sept. 1 to June 30 for each school year. Anyone have any ideas how to do this, I know it's easy to group years but where the school year spans over two years I can't seem to get this to work. WOuld appreciate any feedback.

Depending upon your design and the requirements...

Perhaps create a Cross-Reference table that contains the School Year... Start Date and End Date.

Then update the query that feeds the Report to include a link to the new table.
