Grouping in a report within a Footer

Dear All,

I need help in developing a small requirement in a report. Please refer to the attachment so that you can relate to the fields I will be talking about.

The report currently displays data by grouping with District -> Location -> Dept Description -> Expr2 and their respective group counts on the right.

Is this possible to implement using the Group & Sort options or can someone suggest an approach? If any additional information is required, I can surely provide it.

If I understand correctly you want the report totals in a page footer section. Would a report footer section work for you? If you are stuck on the page footer, does your report print multiple pages?

Hello Duane,

I want to add a Location Footer which will display a total no. of associates and display after grouping on F or T. As per example above, Location_0001 has two Departments and some numbers under them for F and T.

The Location Footer should display a sum of total F and T within Location group (irrespective of the department). I hope it clears what I am looking for.

You didn't respond regarding page footer section. I'm assuming a Location Footer section will work for you and is more appropriate.

Just add a couple text boxes with control sources like:

=Sum(Abs([Your Field Name] = "T"))

Code:
=Sum(Abs([Your Field Name] = "F"))

I'm not sure what the name of your field is but it might be Expr2. If so, you really should spend the time renaming your columns for clarity.
