I have a report with a main group with a sub group that I'm having problems with. Hopefully someone can help me with this

Example:

Main Group Sub Group # of
Memphis New Alabany 20
Memphis Memphis 25

The problem is it will show on the drill down as

Main Group
Memphis 20
Memphis 25

I want it to show

Main Group
Memphis 45

Then drill into the sub groups to show

New Albany 20
Memphis 25

I hope this isn't too confusing

Create a table and then drop the sub group data into details, and right click the row to INsert group. Group on the Main Group.

Then for detail row, select Visibility = False and Toggle Item to the Main Groups text box.

This is basic grouping, I'd suggest grabbing a SSRS book.

I'm in the process now of getting a book on it, would this be a good one to get. Hitchhikers guide to SQL Server Reporting Services

yes

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
