hi,

I am requesting how to group and use drill down to properly represent the report requirement.

I am using Crystal version 10.

Report presently uses 3 parameters(Building, floor, location area). Can use more if necessary.

example. Building = 100 times square --> this is represented by location area like 100.05.DC1 ---> 100 is the building #, 05 is the floor and DC1 is the datacenter on that floor

Scenario:

A building has many floors. Each floor can have more than one room (datacenter).

Now each datacenter has many cabinets. Each cabinet is made up of a particular Rack type , example 19W42UH that is w= width, UH = U-height.

I also need to show details like manufacturer, Serial # of assets in the last page of the report.

Schematic:

Building --> Floor --> datacenter 1 ---> Cabinets (racktype) --------------------> Details (many columns) - last page.

I need this to be drill down with the Details page being the final page.

What is the best way to group this?

Please recommend

Thanks
bob

Just group, in the order you show. Assume Crystal will make it easy for you. Ask again if it does not.

PS. You can swap groups without much trouble, if you decide later they are not what you want.
