Grouping by Dates....Posting dates out of order...

I have a report that posts info for departments on a monthly basis. Here is my problem, December 2002 info is posting as Dec-2003 causing it to come after Jan-2003. This did not post like this untill Jan-2003 info posted, somehow changing Dec-2002 to Dec-2003.

I group by my field status.date, which I have setup to be in specific order with the date/year set in the "Specific Order" tab. Example:

Oct-2002
Nov-2002
Dec-2002
Jan-2003
Feb-2003

Each date is set to equal its date. For example:

oct-2002 "is equal to" oct-2002

I have verified that they are all set correctly.

What could be causing this problem?

I take it back about it changing after Jan-2003 posted. I looked back to last months printout and it had Dec-2003. So now my question is, why is it posting as Dec-2003 as opposed to Dec-2002 as it should??
