HI,

I am using CR v10.

I have the following sections

Gh1 -- suppressed
Gh2 -- suppressed
Gh3 -- suppressed

Gh4 -- Building name
Gh5 -- Floor
Gh6 -- Location area code
Gh7a -- small sub-report with employee name

Gh6 -- There are many location area codes.

Question;

I want to underlay Building name but if there are more than 1 building name the names overlap.

How do i get all the of the above in a single horizontal line?

Thanks
bob

Why not just drag the building groupname into the section where you want it to appear? It might help to see a sample of the final display you would want to see for a few records.

Does it matter if i move group 6 into group 4 ?

If group 4 is a higher level group than group 6 ---- then is it better to move group 6 into group 4 field or the other way around?

I know you said drag and drop -- but wanted to ask my question so i know the "proper/established" way to do this instead of experimenting.

Thanks as always for your timely response.

Regards

You are not moving the group, just the groupname field. You would just drag the groupname from group #4 into group #6. It will repeat for each instance of group #6--is that what you want? Maybe you can show a sample of how you want it to display.

All i want is all the groups to be displayed in a horizontal line.

To achieve the above I tried underlaying, but this is ok if the group has actually only one value but if there are >1 values underlaying is not working and the values are overlapping each other -- aka on top of each other.

Is there a free solution to upload jpeg images to show exactly what i am talking about?

Thanks
bob

all of the groups in one line"--what does that mean though? You have six groups with multiple instances of each group. Please show some sample data using the fields you mention. I'm now wondering whether you really are looking for a crosstab display.

You can try the box.net option below, but I'd rather just see some simple mock data that illustrates your intent--with fields labeled.
