Grouping and totaling issues

Hello,
I am using version 10 Crystal Pro with an informix database.
I have a report that has 5 different groups for subtotaling purposes. If I put the information in the detail section, of course it is replicating each item number. As an example: Rcv
item mfg item style retail cost units
47095 D13797 Jessie Mule_ltr-Black 49.99 125.00 55
47095 D13797 Jessie Mule_ltr-Black 49.99 125.00 10
47095 D13797 Jessie Mule_ltr-Black 49.99 125.00 5
47095 D13797 Jessie Mule_ltr-Black 49.99 125.00 12
47095 D13797 Jessie Mule_ltr-Black 49.99 125.00 1
47095 D13797 Jessie Mule_ltr-Black 49.99 125.00 4

I need the data to display as follows:
rvd
item mfg item style retail cost units
47095 D13797 Jessie Mule_ltr-Black 49.99 125.00 87

If I move the fields to the group header then the sorting within the 5 groups is incorrect. If I choose to suppress if duplicated I get something like this:

Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

You should have an inner group on whatever is the unique field in these records, maybe {table.itemno}. Then you would insert a summary on units, and the then drag the detail fields into the group footer and suppress the detail section.

It looks like you're grouped on the Item #.
So far so good.
Create a subtotal of the units field to add them up and put this in the Item # group footer.
Copy (or move) the other fields (the ones that are always the same) to the Item # group footer.
Hide (or suppress) the Details section.
