Grouping Alphabetically

Hi,

I am pulling data from the titles table of the Pubs database.

I get to see all the titles of the database. Now all the titles start with different letters. How can create a formula that will look only into the first letter of the title field and then show a different category for each letters. So all titles starting with A will fall under A

Something like below

Titles
+ A
+ B
So on and so forth...

Create a formula, then group on that formula.
See page 151 of users guide version 8.5.
ie:{datebasename.fieldname}[1]
will give you the first letter of each fieldname.
