Hello all,
I have a user who is grouping columns in one of his spreadsheets (highlight the columns and from the 'Data' menu, choose 'Group and Outline', then 'Group') in Excel 2003. He has asked if it is possible to group adjacent columns separately. To explain further with an example:

I have columns D to F grouped.
I want columns G to I grouped also, but I want this group to remain separate from the D to F group.

What happens when I highlight G to I and choose 'Group', I get one single combined group from D to I, rather than two separate groups.

Is it possible to group these adjacent columns separately. I have not found a solution yet and was hoping someone might be able to provide an answer.

Thanks in advance.

No, not if they are grouped at the same level. Insert a new column between the groups.

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

Thank you Glenn.
I thought this was the case.
