I have a work order that reads:
Please assign a new group DID number with its own voice mail box. Includes 4 memebers with existing DID's (which will not change).

Is this possible? The dids are coming over an 800 did card, if that matters. Can you renumber groups to match the DID range? I beleive there is an Audix voicemail on this, but not sure.

Sure. You can renumber a group to match a DID # and then over flow it Vm which will go to the auto attendant probably, or set up a virtual ext. # with a VM Box and put primary cover buttons of it on the phones or Shared System Access buttons. I never did anything with the DID cards. But for a PRI, you can set up a pattern for a particular DID # and then route it where ever you need.

So could I make up a phantom DID Ext, with v-mail, and put primary cover buttons on the 4 people who need to be a part of the group? What about message waiting light? I am not familiaar with Audix, will it allow you to signal more than 1 extension when a box has a new message?

Well, you won't have the lamp.

But, they can check periodically. You could set up an extra phone, or set up notifacation from the vm to another VM box.

- OR -

Set up a MESSAGE RECEIVER for the GROUP -

Extension 123 can be the MESSAGE RECEIVER for GROUP 773.

When MAIL sends a message light signal to 773, the LEGEND/MAGIX re-routes it to 123.

Piece of cake...
