Hi,

I am using crystal 8.5 on oracle database. I created a report witha group. for the group i am using formula which is:
if (field1 is null) then use field2
else field1

after I run this report i could see the data but no group tree. why happening like this? is it because of formula?

I have another report which has a group but that group is based on field1.

I could see the group tree on the left side for that report. can anybody explain why it is happening?

thanks

I just tested a similar formula, and the group tree appears. Did you check to see whether in file->report options you have "Create Group Tree" checked?

Thank You LB, It was unchecked in the Report Options. I checked it and worked it out.

thanks
