Group Strategies for Single Domains

Hi all

I've got a question for which i should know the answer, but... however, i'm asking myself which group strategy to implement for a company with a single active directory domain with 2 Sites. Microsoft always recommends using a g dl p, but i can't figure out why not just doing a dl p ? If you want to nest groups into groups because of permission complexity requirements, you can do a dl dl p. Has anybody got a good reason for me? it would also be possible to just use a gg p...
