When I use the special field "Group selection Formula" to show group summary lines by a parameter, the report shows only the selected lines but the totals includes all lines. Is there a way to total by selected groups?

What I am trying to do is take all of my group totals and display them with a parameter of If total < 10,000 then display. I would like to then say all other include in a misc. group. Does anyone know how to accomplish that?

The special field is intended only to display what you have placed in the group selection formula area. To use group selection, you must go to report->selection formula->GROUP and enter a formula there. For your criteria, you would enter something like:

sum({table.amt},{table.group}) < 10000

If you then want to summarize across groups, you must use running totals, since non-group selected records would contribute to the more usual inserted summaries.

By definition, you cannot then display the "others.'
