Hello all

I am having some trouble with some windows xp machines picking up computer based group policies over a wireless connection. when I make changes to the computer policies they do not update while on the wireless connection but once I plug them in to the cat5 they update fine. the user based policies work fine and update with no trouble on either the wireless or the cat 5. any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been beating my head against the wall on this one.

Are these Computer policies or User policies? How are you updating your clients? gpupdate /force? Or are you just waiting till they reboot?

these are computer policies. I have waited the two reboots tried gpupdate /force and have also run gpresult and can see that it read from the correct group policy. I believe it has something to do with the timing of the wireless network starting up because once I plug it in to the cat 5 all works fine it is only when I am using the wireless do I run in to trouble........Thanks for your reply

I was thinking the same thing, perhaps the wireless connection does not start up in time to apply the GPO at startup.
